Outstanding deals and dealmakers in franchising will be recognized each spring, as selected by a judging committee from nominations, such as mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, multi-unit development deals, strategic investments, recaps, debt/equity placements, asset exchanges, etc.
Deadline to enter is December 31, 2017.
Deal of the Year: Nominate a single outstanding transaction that closed from July 2016-December 2017. Impact of the transaction on company performance/strategy is the key selection criterion.
Dealmaker of the Year: Nominate a firm for excellence in executing multiple deals in franchising that closed from July 2016-December 2017, in two categories. Buyer/seller category is for private equity investors, venture capitalists, management teams or the like driving multiple acquisitions or divestitures in franchising. Adviser category is for investment bankers, consultants, M&A experts, attorneys, CPAs, lenders and similar professionals facilitating multiple deals in franchising. Significance of the nominee’s role/complexity of the transactions is the key criterion.
Special Achievement: Nominate an individual for substantial activity and success in driving or facilitating multiple deals in franchising over several years, in order to generate sustainable corporate growth. Demonstrated positive impact of multiple deals is the key criterion.
