When even the losers are winners it’s clear a sector has had a good year. That’s what happened for senior care franchises in 2016, with home healthcare provider Right at Home at the bottom of the list in year-over-year sales growth and still up 0.9 percent to $410 million.

First Light Home Care leads a booming list of senior care franchises with a 45.9 percent sales growth, while Home Instead, the sector's largest senior care franchise, grew a robust 8 percent.
Senior Helpers jumped 17 spots this year after posting a 14.8 percent sales growth. “We know the demand for our services is amazing," said co-founder and CEO Peter Ross. "There’s a silver tsunami that’s coming across our country. Home care now plays a critical role in the healthcare continuum.”
