Top Printing/Shipping Franchises

 

Some of the smallest printing, graphics and shipping companies outside of the Top 200 struggled mightily during 2016. Meanwhile, many of the category’s largest players posted solid sales growth numbers that outpaced other industry segments, as well as the current U.S. inflation rate.

The UPS Store is the largest franchise in the mailing, shipping and packaging category, with $2.25B in sales, a 4.2 percent increase. It fell from No. 56 back to No. 57, where it was listed in 2015. InXpress and Craters & Freighters, two companies outside of the Top 200, also saw notable gains.

Speedpro Imaging led the printing, graphics and signs subcategory with a 14.4 percent sales growth, moving it up 11 spots on our list. Fastsigns had another strong year, with an 8.7 percent growth rate that put the Texas-based franchisor at a cool $450 million in annual sales. Proforma, Fully Promoted and PIP Marketing Signs Print were all down markedly.
