Welcome to the class act of 2007—Franchise Times’ Legal Eagles. When we first
issued a call for nominations, we described the caliber of person we were seeking as the “rainmakers, the go-to lawyers, the ethical problem-solvers who are respected by their peers, adversaries and clients alike.” We had a record number of nominations, but that’s not why we increased the list from 101 to 125. Franchising is growing and so is the practice of franchise law. Top legal talent is in demand both in private practice and as general counsels and inhouse attorneys. While it may take a library to build a practice—a good lawyer starts with the kind of knowledge you get out of books—it requires experience, dedication and heart to take that book-learning to the heights at which our Legal Eagles soar. In our book, their clients are the real winners.
