Greenstein Takes DLA Piper Post as Chair
Richard Greenstein is the new chair of DLA Piper’s franchise and distribution practice. He succeeds Dennis Weiczorek, who died unexpectedly July 13.
“We’ve been overwhelmed by the outpouring of affection and sadness at Dennis’s death,” said Philip Zeidman, senior partner and a member of the practice. “At the same time, we’ve been gratified by the messages of support from clients with long histories of association with our firm’s franchising practice.”
DLA Piper remains general counsel for the International Franchise Association, Zeidman said, which it has served for 54 years.
Greenstein is a transactional lawyer representing clients across multiple industries involving franchise and distribution law, intellectual property, licensing and M&A. He is a founding member of the firm’s Atlanta office, which opened in 2006.
Greenstein was recognized this spring as a Franchise Times Dealmaker of the Year.
