Instant Imprints Gives 'Zees a Tangible Stake

Nearly all franchisors hope to align their interests with their franchisees’, of course, but Instant Imprints believes it is the only franchisor to offer something more tangible in that effort: 10,000 gifted common shares to every existing and new franchisee at no additional cost.
“As proof of our commitment to our franchisees, we offer them a piece of the whole company, not just in their individual franchise. We are the first and only franchise to share ownership with our franchisees,” claims Mike Boyd, COO.
Of course, shares in privately held companies have no market value, but Boyd adds the San Diego-based franchisor of business service centers has a goal to go public. Right now the target is the year 2020, although with a modest 49 operating centers across the U.S. today that seems ambitious.
Still, giving the franchisees a piece of the franchisor pie looks like a smart way to get everyone working from the same page.
