Wyndham's Website Talks Turkish

How does a hotel chain know when it's reached critical mass in an overseas market? When it needs to launch a Turkish-language website to support its rapid expansion in Western Asia.

Three of the Wyndham Hotel Group’s brands currently have a collective 30 properties open in Turkey, including 24 Ramadas. The new version of the website will enable Turkish-speaking guests to book rooms online in their own language. The website also includes content and local promotions, including the Wyndham’s loyalty program.

The launch of the platform is part of the parent company’s overall strategy to drive more bookings through "proprietary online distribution channels," according to the company. The website will “help us deliver more bookings to our hotels at the highest rates and the lowest cost of distribution,” Rui Barros, senior vice president and managing director of Europe, Middle East, Africa and Indian Ocean, said in a release.

Wyndham, which has 7,500 hotels worldwide, now has 5,200 rooms in Turkey.
