Deal with 3M to Boost Window Genie Sales, VP Believes

Published:

Window Genie is banking on a new partnership with 3M to boost sales of residential window film, an arrangement that will begin in April.

Ken Fisk, VP of operations for Window Genie of Cincinnati, says he worked for two years to ink the deal with industry giant 3M, the Maplewood, Minnesota-based company that is strong in commercial window film sales but less so in residential.

Window Genie, on the other hand, has more than 200 units in 24 states and 125,000 residential customers. Window film sales, which reduce fading, heat and glare and augment security, account for 30 percent of sales now for franchisees, he says.

Fisk will have to wait until this fall to see what the new numbers show, but he expects the 3M-branded line of residential window film, called Envision, to be popular.

“What I was looking for when I approached them about two years ago, was some kind of brand partnership. If we could co-brand it, it would definitely help us with film sales going forward,” Fisk says about the idea behind the deal.

“It’s probably the biggest deal that I’ve done with Window Genie,” Fisk says. “I saw it as an opportunity and that’s my thing. I’m a go-getter.”

Window Genie is a mobile cleaning services company focused on window cleaning, tinting and pressure washing.
