Last Call to Discover Global Markets

Published:

This June, a franchisor can visit with experts from 27 countries in Europe and only buy one round-trip plane ticket—or a tank of gas if he or she is located in California.

The U.S. Commercial Service, along with the District Export Council of Southern California, is hosting a two-day meeting, June 3-4, where its industry specialists from Austria to Ukraine (27 countries in all) will be on hand to discuss the business climate and opportunities in their countries. Both regional overviews and prearranged one-on-one meetings will be available for attendees. The meetings are at the Hyatt Regency Los Angeles Downtown.

Keynote speakers include European Union Ambassador to the U.S. Joao Vale de Almeida and President of franchisor, UPS International, Jim Barber.

In addition to general information—the 360-degree view—a breakout session is focused on the specific opportunities for franchising. Moderated by Kristin Houston, senior international specialist for the Commercial Service in Irvine, the panel includes Angela Turrin, a commercial specialist with the U.S. Embassy in Madrid, who will debut a unique Europe wide regional service program for U.S. Franchisors, and William Edwards, CEO of Edwards Global Services.

Cost of the program is $349, although a discount may be offered.  More information found at: http://export.gov/california/ca/DiscoverEurope/index.asp
