Radiant Systems the new POS
Radiant Systems is the new point of sale program for Jason's Deli restaurants. Deli Management, Inc., owner of the restaurant franchise, completed a successful pilot recently and will implement the software in the 100 company-owned locations and 100 Jason's Deli franchise operators.
"We believe that our technology provider will be a vital strategic asset to help our company meet its long-term goals," said Reggie Orchid, Deli Management's chief support officer.
The POS features the Aloha QuickService POS and eFrequency. The company will use the Aloha TakeOut software to manage its catering and its delivery and to-go business, which accounts for nearly 70 percent of sales. The software is compatible with Radiant P1220 and P1520 POS systems.
DreamMaker partners with GuildQuality
DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen partnered with GuildQuality Inc., the Altlanta-based company that specializes in conducting customer satisfaction surveys for builders and renovators.
"Using GuildQuality surveys will enable us at a corporate level to make sure the customers are completely satisfied with the DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen brand," said Doug Dwyer, the company's president. "At a local level, the surveys will provide a forum for our franchise owners to receive feedback on their work."
DreamMaker, part of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, will be able to track data from clients during renovation processes. The information also gives DreamMaker customer feedback.
IPlan Lynx launch
February marked the introduction of geoVue's iPlan Lynx. The software will allow retail, restaurant chains to optimize markets within minutes.
The program offers high-speed drive-time engine computes and features that allow users to run "what if" scenarios. The iPlan develops predictive store trade areas; Clients decide which markets to enter, expand or exit, how to optimize store networks within each market and what sites to choose.
"Iplan Lynx represents a fundamental shift in reporting functionality for real-time market planning," said Jim McConville, director of real estate for Pet Supermarket. "With this latest version from geoVue, non-technical and inexperienced users even executives will be able to report on and conduct real-time market planning."
The software is available immediately.
Lanthem Time Corp. has launched PayClock Version 5, reducing payroll preparation time up to 50 percent. The upgraded program is compatible with Windows XP, Vista PC and QuickBooks.
"The new software allows you to input data directly into a timecard that's built into the system," said Philip Seagraves, Lathem's director of business development.
PayClock keeps a record of employee attendance, and automatically calculates in the finished payroll with an express timecard that factors in wages, attendance, vacation and sick time lunch and break deductions.
United Franchise Group joins Constant Contact program
United Franchise Group joined the Constant Contact Inc. franchise program earlier this year. Franchisees will now be equipped with professionally designed e-mail templates with fixed logos, images and brand messaging.
"In order to be successful as an organization, we need to ensure that we're aligned with the goals of our franchisees. The Constant Contact self-service model enables our team to easily include local messaging within the branded templates without the need for IT support," said Ray Titus, president, United Franchise Group.
With 1,400 locations in 50 countries and the developer of services such as Sign-A-Rama, EmbroidMe, Billboard Connection, FranchiseMart and Plan Ahead Events, United Franchise Group will use Constant Contact to create brand-specific e-mail newsletters.
Micros new launch
Micros Systems Inc., a provider of information technology programs for hospitality and retail industries, launched a direct connection between Expedia and Micros. It eliminates the need to switch services.
Hotels will be able to manage rates, availability, inventory and reservations directly with Micro's myfidelio.net. "Reservations are downloaded immediately into our PMS without any additional effort required by the hotel staff," said Marc Fries, IT-director of Sunstars Hotel. "It creates more efficiently to manage our rates, inventory and availability right from our Micros' property management system."
Myfidelio.net fully integrates with Opera PMS, Fidelio Suite 8 in Europe.
