Saladworks signed an agreement with a multi-unit developer to open three locations in Boston. It is the first project for the quick-casual restaurant chain in the region.
Pizza Inn, Inc. signed a multi-unit development agreement with Mohammed Foods and Allieds Private Limited Company to open 35 new units in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The development agreement will utilize the support services of United Food Company and Pizza Inn's master licensee for Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Pizza Inn also signed a deal with The Sheikh Terki Al Khalifa Group of Companies to develop 20 units in Bahrain over 10 years.
Uno Chicago Grill recently signed several franchise agreements to open 30 restaurants during the next five years. ADC signed an expanded agreement to open three additional locations in the Richmond, Virginia.
Fantastic Sams, a full-service hair salon, plans to expand 35 new locations into Philadelphia within the next five years. Currently, nine Fantastic Sams are open in the Philadelphia region.
Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries and Boardwalk Investment Group LLC signed an agreement to open more than 50 units in Georgia. The first is expected to open in Atlanta by the end of the year.
Elevation Burger plans to add 12 units in New Jersey, Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia. Back Deck LLC will open the first of those units next year.
Dunkin' Donuts signed three development agreements that will bring 150 units to the Phoenix area. InterOcean Coffee Company will build 72 units; First Cup LLC will build 63 and Olympic Fields Associates LLC will build 15. Currently, plans call for 18 units to be open by the end of the year.
Froot Smoothies has signed several franchise deals to expand the chain's presence in Florida and Southern California. Chris Cavallo will develop 15 stores in Florida. Eric Meyers will open 15 stores by the end of 2009 in Los Angeles County. Daryl Williams and Richard E. Miller will open six stores in San Bernadino County by the end of 2009.
Noodle Gang and Pasta Per Trio are set to expand Noodles & Company into Florida and Texas, respectively. Eighteen restaurants are scheduled to open in Orlando and the Gainesville areas within the next six years, and nine are set to open in Austin and Dallas within five years.
Blendz, the quick-service sandwich and salad chain, has signed a deal with David Gray, who will be the company's first area director. Gray plans to develop 50 Blendz locations in San Diego County over the next 50 years.
Ruby Tuesday has reached a deal with Redstone Hospitality Group to develop 12 of the casual restaurants in the Dallas area. It will also take over the operation of three existing Ruby Tuesdays in McKinney, Bedford and Rockwall in Texas.
