Full Circle for Massage Green's Founder, A Tigers Fan
Allie Mallad, Massage Green International CEO
It’s been a long road to good fortune for Allie Mallad, CEO of Massage Green International, who said his small size as a youngster was an advantage. He told this story at the Franchise Finance & Growth Conference in Las Vegas in April.
“When I was 12 years old, my parents didn’t have $10 so we could sign up for a Little League team, so what did we do? We’d hitchhike to Detroit to try to get into the Tigers games.
“And six of us would rush the usher, to try to get in. A couple of us would get caught, but the rest would make it. I never got caught, because I was the smallest and by far the fastest. So I’d get in, hide for 15 minutes, and then come out and enjoy the game,” he recalled.
“Fast forward 46 years later. Derek Jeter is from Michigan, and it’s Detroit v. Yankees, and I got the honor of throwing out the first pitch,” he said. “That’s what I mean about dreams come true. “
Mallad’s presentation, and that of 30 other presenters at the conference, will be featured in the June/July issue of Franchise Times, conference presenter They spoke before an audience of lenders and other financiers at the conference, April 20-22 at the Encore hotel in Las Vegas.
