TGI Fridays CEO to Talk Growth at Finance Conference
Aslam Khan, CEO of TGI Fridays, told Franchise Times “we’re on a new mission here.”
Aslam Khan, the mega-franchisee at Falcon Holdings who took the chief executive job at TGI Fridays last year, will reveal his growth plans for the legacy chain at the Franchise Finance & Growth Conference May 7-9. His much-anticipated talk follows a months-long listening tour with franchisees to hear their concerns.
“I’m doing right now and for the last several weeks, communication alignment and building trust,” Khan told FT’s Nick Upton last June. Added CFO Giovanna Koning at the time, “The brand is iconic, but it will only survive if we’re bringing profitability to the bottom line.”
Attendees of the conference, presented by Franchise Times, will also hear from Abigail Pringle of Wendy’s and Suzanne Greco of Subway, among more than 60 other franchise leaders, who will describe to lenders, multi-unit operators and financiers how they will grow their chains in a competitive marketplace.
All presenters will answer questions from the audience in private meeting rooms after their talks. The Franchise Finance & Growth Conference is May 7-9 at the Mirage hotel in Las Vegas.
