Is Pie Five Offer Too Good to Be True?

From the “it’s gotta be too good to be true” file comes this tidbit: Pie Five Pizza is “doing its part to help its weight-conscious guests keep their New Year’s resolutions this year,” the company announced.

The Dallas-based fast-casual pizza brand introduced a new creation—the Skinny Pie—in early January. It has chicken, mozzarella and provolone cheese, red onions and marinara sauce. The entire pizza has fewer than 500 calories.

“We wanted to offer something extra special at this time of year for those determined to drop a few pounds,” said Pie Five Pizza Chef Andy Whitman. “The Skinny Pie will fit in just about any diet plan, and the best thing is, it’s delicious!”

No word on whether the Skinny Pie will hit the gym for its customers, as well.
