Fuzzy's Campaign Puts Purpose Behind Vine Videos


Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is injecting some purpose into all those funny cat videos people like to post on Vine.

Fuzzy’s launched July 1 a month-long campaign to support Share Our Strength’s Dine Out for No Kid Hungry campaign to end childhood hunger in America. Each customer who donates $1 at a store will receive a bounce-back voucher good for one free taco on the next visit.

But there’s more. Fuzzy’s 65-plus restaurants are encouraging social media followers to create short, fun Fuzzy’s-themed videos. For every video uploaded to the Vine app or to Twitter with the hashtag #fuzzy4nokidhungry, Fuzzy’s will donate 10 meals to the No Kid Hungry campaign.

“We strongly support the exceptional work being done by Share Our Strength because we believe it’s a travesty that any child in America would not know where his or her next meal is coming from,” said Chuck Bush, CEO of Fuzzy’s in Fort Worth, Texas.

The goal of the campaign, launched to celebrate Fuzzy’s 10th anniversary, is to raise $75,000 for the charity. Every $1 donated equals 10 meals for hungry kids, the company said.
