PizzaRev, Buffalo Wild Wings Capture Deal of Year
PizzaRev’s strategic partnership with Buffalo Wild Wings captured the Franchise Times 2014 Deal of the Year award at a gala luncheon today, the highlight of the Franchise Finance & Growth Conference in Las Vegas.
Dennis Monroe, founder of Monroe Moxness Berg law firm in Minneapolis, received the Special Achievement award for a 30-year career in franchise finance.
Ten additional companies received awards, recognizing excellence in mergers and acquisitions in franchising. All are profiled in the April issue of Franchise Times.
“These dealmakers are the best in the business—they are bold, creative and relentless in driving capital to grow their concepts,” said Beth Ewen, managing editor of Franchise Times, creator of the annual Franchise Times Dealmakers project. “We are proud to recognize their excellence and share their lessons learned.”
PizzaRev is an emerging choose-your-own ingredients pizza chain based in Los Angeles. With only a few units open, the young company attracted a minority investment from Buffalo Wild Wings, the Minneapolis-based chicken wings bar and grill with more than 1,000 restaurants.
The conference wraps up this afternoon, featuring presentations from 28 franchisors all told to an audience of operators, lenders, private equity investors and finance experts who want to build their portfolios with promising franchise brands.
