For Thanksgiving: Gratitude, Celebration and Drainage Issues

Published:

First comes the pecan pie, then comes the grease.

Holidays bring out the bizarre in press releases and promotions, and Thanksgiving is no exception. Here is one of our favorites:

“Happy Thanksgiving from GreaseShield,” read a missive from Environmental Products and Services, which supplies the foodservice industry and touted several innovation awards it received at the National Restaurant Association Show last May.

It included a recipe for pecan pie, which looked delicious, and ended with this sign-off: “After a well-deserved Thanksgiving Holiday, please have a look and see how we can assist you to solve your drainage issues.”

This blogger is going to try out that line tomorrow when bidding farewell to holiday guests.
