Now Calling the Boldest Dealmakers in Franchising

Nominations are now open through December 31 for the 2016 Franchise Times Dealmakers awards, the fourth annual project recognizing the boldest players driving mergers and acquisitions in franchising.

Click on the Dealmakers button on this page to nominate a deal in three categories: Deals of the Year, recognizing an individual deal for impact and complexity; Dealmakers of the Year, recognizing a person or company driving multiple deals; and Special Achievement, recognizing a person contributing significantly over a career by driving growth capital toward franchise companies.

M&A transactions in franchising that closed between July 1, 2014, through Dec. 31, 2015, are eligible. Nominations close Dec. 31, at www.franchisetimes.com/dealmakers. Judges, assembled by Franchise Times and all experts in franchise M&A, will evaluate the finalists early next year and select the winners, who will be honored at a gala luncheon at the Franchise Finance & Growth Conference in March 2016 and covered in the April issue of Franchise Times.

Last year’s winners included Ampex Brands buying fellow franchisee Morgan’s Foods; Faegre Baker Daniels advising Sentinel on TGI Friday’s and Newk’s purchases; and The Dwyer Group selling to The Riverside Co. The Franchise Times Deal of the Year went to Flynn Restaurant Group gaining investment from Ontario Teachers Pension Fund.
