Company Description
Ohio-based Wendy's is one of the largest burger chains in the world. Founded by the iconic restaurateur Dave Thomas in 1969, Wendy's is named after a nickname for his daughter Melinda.
Thomas started franchising Wendy's just a few years after opening its first location in Columbus, Ohio. It now has thousands of locations in the U.S., as well as units in dozens of other countries.
Wendy's more recently got on board with the delivery trend to provide U.S. customers with their food via a smartphone app. The chain has also started installing self-ordering kiosks in some of its locations for a more efficient customer experience.
