Top Business Services Franchises
Outsource it all
By Nick Upton
Business services slowed slightly in 2019, but the segment provides a glimpse of the ongoing transformation of how business is done. In all, the segment sank by $53 million, brought about largely by some ugly results. AtWork Group’s sales, for one, sank by $97 million or 27 percent. Other companies saw sales tick up and five saw double-digit growth as the practice of outsourcing business services continue to expand fairly dramatically in 2019. The fastest grower, TeamLogic IT, said outsourcing isn’t just the norm anymore, but because hiring was so hard in 2019 it became a necessity. “Small businesses are so accustomed to outsourcing IT; they don’t even think about it. And because the workforce is so challenging, people will say, I don’t want to hire anybody, I’ll outsource it,” said TeamLogic Executive Vice President Chuck Lennon.
